Stahl warrants to the owner of record (the “Owner”), subject to the terms, conditions and
limitations stated herein, that: The Warranty Period begins on the date of purchase by the original Owner, or one (1) year from the date the product is shipped from the Stahl factory, whichever occurs first (“Effective Warranty Date”), and lasts for the time period set forth below (“Warranty Period”).
- For a period of five (5) years from the Effective Warranty Date, Stahl warrants that its Service Bodies, Service Vans and Crane Bodies (the “Products”), made of galvanneal
steel, when properly maintained and serviced under the guidelines in the Owner’s Manual,
shall not rust through. “Rust Through” under this Warranty covers only claims where there
is a perforation or hole in the metal. Rust in paint or surface rust is not considered “rust
through” under this Warranty.
- For a period of one (1) year from the Effective Warranty Date, Stahl warrants that
Products not made of galvanneal steel shall not corrode.
- For a period of five (5) years from the Effective Warranty Date, Stahl warrants that hinges, door locks, door latches and lock cylinders (the “Components”) shall continue to operate as specified in the Owner’s Manual.
- For a period of one (1) year from the Effective Warranty Date, Stahl warrants that
surface finishes (i.e. powder coat, single stage paint, base/clear paint) shall not chip or fade.
- Stahl warrants any Product body or Component replacement part for the duration of the Warranty Period or one (1) year, whichever occurs later.
- Stahl warrants paint repairs for one (1) year from the date of repair.
Claims Procedure
The Owner shall immediately notify the nearest authorized Stahl distributor, or contact Stahl
directly if there is an issue with a Product or Component that is covered under this Warranty. All
warranty claims must be filed in writing and include dated proof of purchase from the Owner. If
upon investigation, Stahl determines that a claim is covered under this Warranty, Stahl will,
at its option, either refund the purchase price of, or cover the cost of labor and material to repair
or replace the portion of the Product or Component that is not in compliance with the terms of
this Warranty. All authorized repairs must be completed by an authorized Stahl distributor or
a third party pre-approved in writing by Stahl. Following completion of the repair or
replacement work, an invoice shall be submitted to Stahl for payment directly to the service
provider. Stahl will not make repair or replacement payments directly to the Owner.
Stahl reserves the right to inspect the Products or Components returned by the Owner under
this Warranty to determine whether the alleged defect is covered. Inspection shall, at Stahl’s
option, be performed at Stahl’s factory, or at such other reasonable place as may be
designated by Stahl. In the event of such inspection, freight for returning Products or
Components shall be paid by the Owner.
Unauthorized repair or replacement of a Product or Component prior to inspection by Stahl or
without Stahl’s prior written approval for repair or replacement may void the Warranty.
